Designed by the world-renowned American company WATG, Portville Site is one of the most prestigious and stylishly designed sites in Göcek, Turkey. Located between D-Resort Hotel and D-Marin, the site is especially appealing to the sea and boat enthusiasts. It is located on 46 thousand m² of land nested with the sea. Portville consists of 130 luxury villas. While 51 of them are surrounded by a long swimming pool that continues throughout the site, the other 79 villas have a sea connection with canals. Each villa surrounded by the pool has direct access to the pool from its garden.

Göcek is one of the ancient Lycian settlements found between those of Fethiye and Caunos. Gocek used to be a small village and started to be known when a group of artists cruised along the Turquoise coast, later to be called “Blue Voyage”. It was known as “Kalimche” during ancient times. The myth says, that Icarus fell into the sea when he tried to fly away from where he was imprisoned. During the Ottoman Era chromium was extracted in mines nearby and loaded onto ships in the natural harbour. Gocek provides a beautiful, secure, natural harbour due to its many islands and coves that are secluded in a large bay.
How to reach Göcek
Distance between Göcek and the International Airport at Dalaman has been reduced to 22 km.
Charter flights to Dalaman Airports leave very frequently from major airports in the World between April/May and October/November and less so between mid November and April.
Also there are many airlines that have direct flights to Istanbul, Izmir and Antalya and domestic airlines have regular flights to and from Dalaman.The flight from Dalaman to Bodrum Airport takes about an hour.
There is an all-year-round ferry service operating from Marmaris to Rhodes and a summer only service between Fethiye and Rhodes.

Which season is the best?
The summer season starts in May and continues until the end of October in this typical Mediterranean city. It is very hot in summer. March and April are the months for observing nature awaken with spring. The eco tourism season starts in these months. The temperature is not lower than 10 Celsius in the winter and reaches almost 40 Celsius in the summer. Sea swimming is comfortable for at least nine months of the year.
CLIMATE
Average temperatures are; 30-36° in summer, 3-10° in winter. A maximum 52° Celsius occurred on 27 June 2007; a minimum -4° Celsius on 9 February 1976. During the last 40 years it snowed once here on 19 December 1992 and reached a thickness of 3-4 cm.
Information about Göcek
When you arrive in the center, you will see a long street called Turgut Ozal Street that offers many outlets for antique and modern carpets and textiles, gifts shops, restaurants etc. It is possible to find all your needs in this street.
Famous supermarkets Tansas, Migros and Bim – have branches in Gocek town, in addition to many smaller family-run markets that a everything that you will need for either yacht provisioning or self-catering.
While you are walking along the main street to the seafront, you will see smart, plain, quiet, restaurants, fish restaurants, cafes and pubs, all playing good international and local music. However, you should also walk inland a little to see the restaurants and bars hiding in wonderful green gardens, surrounded by colorful flowers. You will find the atmosphere dizzy with the flower aromas, your cocktail, and the unusually high oxygen levels, which we know you don’t normally breathe.
You can easily find a good restaurant for a local or international breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Gocek mostly caters to yachtsmen and women; consequently, there is very little nightlife in the town, apart from one or two very pleasant bars and a music/dance bar. As sailors generally wake early, sail during the day, and sleep early, the most active time in Gocek is between 19:00 and 22:00 hrs, during which time the many bars and restaurants are buzzing with clients. As is usual in most seaside towns there is a delightful esplanade along which you can see and be seen.
Göcek experiences an average of 300 days of sunshine annually—you will indeed be hard-pressed to find a single cloud formation in the skies in long summer when temperatures constantly range between 30°C and 40°C during the day and no lower than 25°C during the night. Average winter—which, in fact, would be called “spring” really, in more northern climates—the temperature is +17°C.
Water temperature at the bay is more or less around 25°C on average during summer.
Beaches In and Around Gocek
The most popular beach belongs to D-Resort Gocek and can be used paying a daily fee. Within 10 minutes drive is Inlice beach and the Gocek Island beach can be reached by shuttle or sea taxi from Gocek harbour. Several other beaches can be easily reached by cars, such as the long sandy beach of Sarigerme, Izluzu beach, and east of Gocek, around 40 minutes drive away is Oludeniz beach, arguably Turkey’s finest.
D-Resort Gocek
Formerly the Swissotel which was under new ownership was renovated to become the upmarket D-resort. The private beach here has light sand imported from the Sahara and is owned by the hotel. Visitors can use the beach by paying a daily fee or taking out a seasonal membership. The entry fee is expensive at around 50€. The price includes sunbed and parasol hire and a discount on your lunch. (Villa Koi guests receive a %75 discount here.
Inlice Beach
Inlice Beach is an 800m long stretch of dark sand, around a 10-minutes drive from Gocek and is run by the municipality of Göcek. The beach offers safe swimming and the water is usually calm but can get wavy during windy weather. A café on the beach operated by the Göcek Municipality offers reasonably priced drinks and refreshments. There is an official car park, shower and WC facilities, changing cubicles and sunbeds & parasols for hire.
If you have a hire car, drive along the Fethiye road for approx 4.5 km and take the right hand turning just before the dual carriageway begins. During the daytime Inlice beach can also be reached by dolmus, the pickup point is outside the front of the Municipality building in Göcek and the last bus returns at 6 pm.
Gocek Island (Fimi) Beach
The main island beach is reachable by a water shuttle from the marina within around 15 minutes. The water shuttle service is available once every hour and leaves from the pontoon next to the Marina Office.
The beach is enclosed on both sides by pine-covered slopes, take a swim in the crystal clear waters or relax under the pine trees. There is a cafe, bar, changing area, showers, toilet facilities, sun loungers and parasols for hire.
Once on the island set up a tab at the bar, giving the patron your name, and they will note your boat fare, sun lounger rental and any drinks and food against your name which you can settle before leaving. The last boat returns around 6 pm.
Katranci Bay
Katranci Bay, hidden behind red pine, eucalyptus and acacia trees is situated 18 km from Göcek on the Göcek-Fethiye road. The village is a vision of blue and green, shaded by pine trees extending as far as the shore, and has a relaxation area offering facilities such as showers, toilets, and a car park. For those wishing to explore further, there is a path along the seaside and over the hill to another quiet bay named Kizlar. This cove is surrounded by pine trees on three sides and at the top of the hill, you will find a popular restaurant and bar that offers a beautiful view.
Ölü deniz
The famous Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz is around 40 minutes drive from Göcek. Its crystal clear waters provide safe swimming and it is ideal for a variety of water sports. Said to be the most photographed beach on the Mediterranean coast with its stunning mile-long stretch of sand.
The beach is bordered by an attractive promenade lined with small shops, cafes and restaurants. Part of the lagoon is now a protected area (and it’s a national park) and so there is a small entrance fee. Other smaller beaches nearby are free to enter.
Sarigerme Beach
With miles of golden sand, shallow sea and the island of Babada not too far in the distance is a great day out for all the family. A short walk along the wooded footpath with its turkeys, chickens and peacocks running free, brings you out onto the exceptionally clean beach. Facilities include food and drink outlets, water sports, showers, toilets, beach chairs, umbrellas and dressing cabins are all available.
Iztuzu Beach
İztuzu Beach is a 4.5 km long golden sandy beach near Dalyan and can be reached via the D400 in around 50 minutes by car from Gocek.
Considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean coastline. This sand bar that separates the sea from the mouth of Dalyan Creek is an excellent swimming beach.
Iztuzu Beach (sometimes referred to as “Turtle Beach”) is one of the last nesting grounds for the endangered Loggerhead Turtles and has been given protected status since 1988. For this reason, it is closed to the public during the night between 8 pm and 8 am.
There are toilet and shower facilities and three low-key beach shacks, selling snacks and drinks. Down on the sand, wicker parasols and sun loungers are available for hire.
